This humble blog will be a place to share the things I come across, discuss local tidbits, and other things here and there about being a mom of a special needs child. If you find anything interesting don’t forget to pass it on and share it with those you know because as they say, sharing is caring. Thank you for taking time out of your day (or night!) to share it with me! =)
Wakemae?
別ã‘å‰ = ã‚ã‘ã¾ãˆ |
Wakemae (n.) share; portion; quota; cut.
I wanted to pick something that was Japanese and had a meaning about sharing with others or giving parts of something to others. Makes sense since I will be sharing with all of you different things so you can share it too.
Design Background
It all started with playing PlayStation 2 games. Back then there were fan-made websites that I thought were neat and wanted to learn how to make them too. I started by leaning on my own through websites that had copy-and-paste code, then through coding books at the library, and then finally taking classes in high school. That’s when I knew what I wanted to do and got my Associate’s degree in Interface Design from Kapiolani Community College.
 Anime and Manga
My love of anime and manga has lead me to a lot of things. Finding my friends, solidifying my career path, a creative outlet, meeting my husband; just to name a few. Series like Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon, and Sailor Moon were my first exposure and I’ve seen many more since.
