German graphic designer Gunter Rambow used photography to create photo books and posters for literature, theater, and social topics. With his use of black and white photographs, he manipulates, breaks apart, and re-photographs (among other methods) to create straightforward, original photographs. Gunter printed very little verbal information so the viewer is drawn more to the photograph than to the message.
