Japan Crate Unboxing October Halloween

Japan Crate Unboxing: October

I was fortunate enough to win a contest for a Premium box from Japan Crate earlier this year. The selection was fun and pretty good for the price if I had bought it so I continued to follow them on social media to see what else they would offer. Ordering for the October box came along and I decided to take the plunge and subscribed to them until the end of the year!

This post is not sponsored by Japan Crate as I purchased the subscription with my own money. The unboxing review is 100% my honest opinion of what was received. It might be updated with more information at a later time. There are referral links where I would earn points for any subscribers using the link to sign up for a box, but I get no real money from them.

October theme is…

The theme for October, as you can guess is: Halloween! Now you can probably see why I subscribed at this time, hehe. All the products in the box were dressed in their Halloween best (except for two items), including the box! Instead of their usual red and white colors it was purple and white with a Halloween designs inside and out. Japanese ghost (Yokai = 妖怪) and demons (Oni = 鬼), candies, and their masked character decorated the box. Which I like that they went with them being based on Japanese folktales instead of the usual seen in Western culture.

Halloween treats from Japan!

Inside was a nice variety of snacks. A few that I had seen at Marukai and Don Quijote too! Now I don’t need to buy them. But the rest would be harder to find like the Butter Beer Ramune candy and the DIY candy kit. For Kit Kat fans they included a full bag of Caramel Pudding with hand signs on the wrapper which I thought was interesting! We tried them and it’s quite good and taste just like them. And as another element to the Halloween theme there was a 50-50 chance at a Trick or Treat drink. The trick being a Shijimi Clam Miso drink or the treat of a Crème Brulee Milk Tea drink. As you can see, we got tricked! Though there’s still the debate on how to drink this. Cold or hot?

If you like what you see, you can subscribe here for one box a month or more. Right now they are doing the November box with Fall flavored snacks and a Pikachu grape drink!
