about the designer
I discovered Web Design through my love of Anime, Manga, and Video Games. In high school I learned how to design in Paint and code in Notepad through my own independent studies by designing and maintaining an Anime and Manga fan website called The RAM Site for about four years. I continued to learn different techniques and programs to perfect my Web Design skills and graduated with an Associate in Science degree in New Media Arts: Interface Design from Kapi'olani Community College in 2009. From there I worked for a local design company, 9th Avenue (formerly known as Entheos Interactive), as a Web Designer focusing on coding and maintaining several websites before going independent as a Freelance Web Designer. I continue today with my client [ki•ele] designing and maintaining their eCommerce website.
Through my constantly continued learning, I have found my own unique style of fusing images through the use of textures, patterns, and text giving a collage effect to my designs while exploring the minimalistic style. I have found great reward as a Freelance Web Designer helping local small businesses and hope to expand my skills in a team environment.
